Ellen Wasserman Joffe, 97, of Charlotte passed away peacefully on April 3rd at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster.
Ellen was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Marion Wasserman Oppenheimer and Emanuel Wasserman.
She lived in her home in Cotswold for 71 years. She was an extremely independent woman who loved dogs more than people. Ellen was a sports fanatic and could tell you all of the names of football and basketball players.
Ellen was predeceased by her son, Michael and her daughter, Wendy.
Ellen is survived by her adopted family next door and her favorite dog Ollie.
Anyone who wishes to honor Elie may make a donation in her name to Guiding Eyes for the Blind or Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Southminster.
