Ellen Johnson 96, of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018. She is survived by her children, David of Valparaiso, Larry "Moe" (Ellen) of Florida, Sue Meadows of Lombard, Tom (Peggy) of Texas, Patty Flewellen of Lowell, Christina (Ron) Ott of Cedar Lake, 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and her sister, Deloris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Bones", daughter in law, Sharon Johnson, sons in law, Dick Meadows and David Flewellen, grandson, Doug Johnson and great grandson, Isiah R. Flewellen. Ellen was a founding member of the First Baptist Church in Shelby, member of the Lowell Public Library Quilters and retired Realtor with Langen Realty. Visitation, Sunday January 28, from 2-6 at Sheets Funeral Home, 604 E. Commercial Ave., Lowell with Funeral Services Monday, 10AM at Lowell Church of Christ, 299 N. Burr St. and Burial following in Lake Prairie Cemetery. www.sheetsfuneral.com

So sorry to read about Ellen's passing. I had not seen Ellen since she and I shared a desk and phone at Fleming Realty in the late 1960's. My memory of her is still vivid. She was very intelligent, pleasant to work with and a woman of sound judgement. The pictures were great to see....yes, I remember Ellen Johnson even after 50 years. My sympathy to all of her family.
