Ellen S. Morin

Ellen S. Morin, 85, of Avon, beloved wife of the late Ernest Morin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Born in Hanover, NH to the late Herbert and Marion (Sheridan) Swan, she spent the last 42 years living in Avon. Ellen had a fulfilling career, devoting over 40 years of her life working as a teacher, the last 10 being with the State of CT at the Carl Robinson Correctional Institute until her retirement. She was well loved and respected by students and colleagues alike. Ellen leaves behind her loving niece, Susan Gillette and husband Gary of Oregon along with their two children, in addition to many dear friends. She will be deeply missed. There will be no services. In her honor, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Connecticut.
