Ellen L. O'Leary

Ellen L. O'Leary, of Bridgewater, passed away on March 15, 2026. She was 84. Ellen lived in Mission Hill and Quincy before settling in Bridgewater many years ago. She was a proud parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater. She enjoyed crafting, playing Words with Friends and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, sense of humor and friendly nature.

Beloved wife of 52 years to Thomas E. O'Leary of Bridgewater. Devoted mother of Theresa Marchetti of Florida, James Lavin and his wife Noemia of Oxford, Dawn Lucas and her late husband Jeffrey of Taunton and the late Victor O'Leary and his widow Cindy of Bridgewater. Cherished Gigi of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Donna Fritsch and her husband Guenther of New Jersey and the late Robert, Roger and John Dean. Also blessed with multiple generations of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford Street in Bridgewater. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
