Ellen Johanne Pearson

Ellen Johanne Pearson was born on June 27, 1934, in Ames, Iowa, to Christine and Emanuel Lykkegaard. She peacefully passed away on January 13, 2025, in Northglenn, Colorado.

She was the eldest of four children and was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Lykkegaard. She is survived by her siblings Lily Thompson and Alex Lykkegaard, as well as their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ellen was also preceded in death by her former husband, Maynard Hill, and two of their three children, Alvin Hill and Dianna Hill. She is lovingly survived by Dianna's children, Shawn Wetzbarger and Daisy Hill, and by her youngest child, Jay Hill (Shana). She also leaves behind her grandchildren Chad Hill and Wesly Hill (Nicki), and her cherished great-grandchildren Hailey, Mckenzy, Aubrey, and Verity Hill.

Deeply loved by many, Ellen found great fulfillment in her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where her compassion and dedication to caring for others truly shined. Outside of her work, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, drawing, and painting. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and wildlife, finding peace and joy in nature.

Her faith was central to her life. She had a strong passion for attending church and actively participating in Bible study, which brought her comfort and purpose throughout her years.

Ellen Johanne Pearson will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.
