Ellen Thompson, lovingly known as Ellie to many, departed this world on March 21, 2026. Born Ellena Delores Brunetti on February 9, 1935, in Sacramento, California, and brought up with grace and strength, she filled her 91 years with remarkable stories of love, resilience, and service.

Ellen's life was characterized by her dedication to service. She spent a significant part of her life working for the U.S. Government as a secretary, a role she carried out diligently until her retirement. Her work was not just a job for her, but a calling, a way to contribute to her country's well-being. This commitment extended to her personal life as well, where she was known for her unwavering support and love for her family. Her courage, resilience, and determination left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

Ellen moved to Ogden, Utah, where she resided for the past 20 years. She is survived by her children, Gary Thompson (Lorie), Pam Simmons (David), and Sondra Keck (Randy). She was also a grandmother to six children and great grandmother to nine children. Ellen shared a cherished relationship with Mike Lane in the few years. She had been widowed since 2019, and her strength in the face of loss was a testament to her resilience. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mamie Mark Brunetti, her brothers James and Angelo, and her sister Marie, and her husband, Harold Kay Thompson. She will be remembered not just for her accomplishments and service, but for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering spirit.

Let us continue to celebrate Ellen's life by sharing memories, stories, and photos on her memorial page at www.myers-mortuary.com. In doing so, we keep her spirit alive, reminding us all of the light she brought into our lives.

Ellen's services will privately be held. Services entrusted to Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
