Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Ellen Annette Carpenter Walker will begin at 2:30 on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Brother Kyle Crenshaw officiating. Interment rites will follow at Collinsville First Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Walker, age 85, of Collinsville passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Ellen was born May 4, 1940 in Meridian, Mississippi to the late John Thad and Margie Carpenter. In 1958, she married Clyde Walker, Jr., and to their union, three children were born. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and the Collinsville Community Center. She enjoyed traveling in each of the fifty states as well as some international travels, working puzzles, going to ball games, and spending time with her family. She was a die-hard southern Gospel fan as well as bluegrass music - especially on Saturday nights at Sciple Mill.
Survivors include her children, Randy Walker (Joann), Ricky Walker (Chris), and Renee Vance; grandchildren, Davey Walker (Jessica), Luke Walker (Katherine), Emily Crenshaw (Kyle), Randel Calhoon (Dominic), Mallory Peden (Steven), and Jacob Vance (Anna Kate Shows); great-grandchildren, Conner Walker (Tera), Caroline Walker (Jake Adams), Mady Crenshaw, Hunter Crenshaw, Wyatt Crenshaw, Mya Crenshaw, Avery Walker, Dallas Walker, Josie Waite, and Cindy Peden; 1 great great-grandchild, Walter Wayne Walker; special friend and companion, Rayburn Rigdon; siblings, Glenda Reid and Dianne Agnew; sister-in-law, Brenda Baker; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clyde Walker, Jr., her parents, and one brother, Lt. Col. Terry Carpenter.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Walker be made to the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department or to First Baptist Church Collinsville's Generations Fund.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Walker's grandsons.
Mrs. Walker's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Accent Care Home Health and Hospice and Kallie Weathers at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive guests from 12:30 until 2:15 on Monday prior to the funeral service.
