Mrs. Ellen I. Westhoff

Ellen I. Westhoff, 71, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2009. A visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Friday, December 18 at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Indoor Mausoleum, 11200 Metcalf. Contributions in Ellen’s name can be made to KU Endowment, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., Mailstop 3012, Kansas City, KS 66160. Ellen was born October 31, 1938 in Delaware County, Oklahoma City, OK. She was a loving mother and grandmother. During her retirement, she enjoyed crafts, animals, cooking, gardening, shopping and spending time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Frank Draper; her son, Larry Farney; and her husband, Vernon. Survivors include her son, David Farney; daughters, Edie Vincent and Nancy Smith; sister, Elsie Miller; brothers, Donald and Earl Draper; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and friend, Ron Jones.
