Ellis Edward "Ed" Kuehn, born November 25, 1947, in Houston, Texas, went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2025-just two days shy of his 78th birthday. Born a twin and one of three brothers, Ed grew up in Houston as the son of Zelman and Doris Kuehn. He first attended Houston Baptist College and went on to graduate proudly from the University of Houston, where he began building the foundation of a life defined by hard work, generosity, and devotion to those he loved.

In 1969, Ed married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Lee Beason, beginning a partnership marked by deep love, resilience, and shared adventure. A year later, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve, serving his country with pride. Throughout his life, Ed embodied the spirit of a determined entrepreneur-always willing to start something new, work hard, and create a path that supported his family. His kindness, generosity, and genuine warmth left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ed loved his family fiercely and found joy in the simple and meaningful parts of life: adventure, hunting, grilling, good music, sports, and making memories with those closest to him. He built a successful career through dedication and grit, but his greatest legacy will always be the love he poured into his family and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Zelman and Doris Kuehn; his beloved twin brother, Edwin Allen "Al" Kuehn, who passed away in 1971; and other family members who welcomed him into eternal rest.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary; his children, Michelle Kuehn, Shawn Kuehn, and Ashley Regner and her husband, Travis; his grandchildren, Morgan and Noah Regner; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Elizabeth Kuehn. He also leaves behind countless friends and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Kim Taylor and Cruz, whose extraordinary, round-the-clock care allowed Ed to remain comfortably at home. Their compassion and devotion made them family in every meaningful way.
