My eyes filled with tears- Reading these eloquent words- what an amazing young man your son is because of course he lives on. I am here at Andover my spouse is the head of school I wish I would have known your son but we didn't arrive until the fall of 2020. What an incredible swimmer what a brave child and young man -a determined passionate human being. You are so right when you say that he lived more In his life than most of us to do. May His memory be eternal.

Dear Mr. and Dr. Ross,
I am so sorry to hear about Ellis' passing. I had the privilege to teach and work with Ellis at Phillips Academy. He will be missed and my thoughts are with your family.

I am so very sorry to hear of your son´s passing. You have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly. I know you are both so very proud of the young man that you raised - I know from the way Dr. Ross always talked about him he was a very special person.

Our deepest condolences and sympathy. I remember how hard Ellis worked to achieve and always do his best in schoolwork or swimming or any endeavor he tackled. He was bright and determined to accomplish whatever task he set before him. I knew Ellis both as a former student and a wonderful young man. He was always so composed and thoughtful. I was privileged to teach Ellis in fourth grade. I will always remember his soft spoken kindness, work ethic, and devotion to family. What an immeasurable loss to what might have been. My deepest sympathies to the family.
