Elma G. Schoppe, 95, of Chillicothe, Ohio formerly of Wintersville, Ohio passed away on September 2, 2025. Elma was born on June 6, 1930 in Steubenville, Ohio a daughter of the late Fred & Carolyn Bushmier Rabe. She was Presbyterian by Faith and worked for the US Postal Service for 22 years as a rural carrier in Richmond, Ohio.
Elma is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred W. Schoppe, Sr.; three brothers Delmas, Floyd & Virgil Rabe and two sisters Freda Houser & Rhoda Galloway.
Elma is survived by her daughter Carol Sue Schoppe Jester; son Frederick "Fred" W. Schoppe, Jr. & his wife Susan; sister Verna Patterson; niece Beverly (Michael) Arajakis; six grandchildren Stephanie, Kristin, Jennifer, Nathan, Dustin & Brandon and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio on Thursday from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with Rev. William Westling officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery.
