Elma L. Strong

Elma was called back to her Heavenly parents and home on June 20, 2024, from the Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton, Utah. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in the Millcreek area of Salt Lake City, Utah on June 10, 1945, to Glen Dewey and Maude Mills Lowe, a religious family of the LDS faith. She was born the fifth child of eleven. Bud (Sherry), Glen Dewey Jr (Connie), Delores (Ron) Baker, William (Nanette), Elma/Elmo (twin), Margaret (Larry) Harvey, Susan (Rick) Williams, Glenna (Leonard) Davis, Roscena Lowe, and Joseph Lowe.

Elma was a very patriotic person for our country and loved what Heavenly Father had given her, especially her children, grandchildren, and animals. She graduated from the belated Granite High School in 1964.

She worked at Linford’s Glass Company for about five years until her mission in the Southern States mission. She was a housekeeper at St. Marks Hospital for about two years, CNA for the Box Elder County Nursing Home and assisted living center in Tremonton, Utah for twelve years, where she loved helping the elderly, and homecare for about eight years.

Elma is preceded in death by her loving parents, aunts, uncles, three brothers Bud, Glen Dewey, and Elmo; two sisters Delores and Roscena; two sisters-in-law Sherry and Connie; two brothers-in-law Ron and Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her children Anthony James (AJ) Mills, Vicki Strong, Jamie Strong, and Kimberly (Danial) Bair; grandchildren CJ (Caroline June) LaPointe, Daelyius Creager, Sereyona Creager, Xanec Creager, Maewyn Creager, Emma LaPointe, Reid LaPointe, Torren Creager; sisters Margaret Harvey, Susan (Rick) Williams, Glenna (Leonard) Davis; brothers William (Nanette) Lowe and Joseph Lowe.

Funeral services for Elma will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 11 A.M. in the Tremonton 3rd Ward Chapel (9590 N 6800 W, Tremonton). A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 9-10:30 A.M. Interment will follow at the Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 E 4580 S, Millcreek, UT 84117) at approximately 2 P.M.
