Elma Bridgers Treakle White, 87, of Appomattox, VA, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her home.
Born in Norfolk, VA, on October 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. Bridgers, Sr. and the late Elma Beimschla Bridgers. Elma was a dance instructor into her late 70’s. She was an active member of the Smithfield Little Theatre in Smithfield, VA, and was an excellent seamstress.
She is survived by two children, Thomas W. Treakle III and wife, Rebecca, and C. Lynnette Treakle Kirkbride and husband, Roger; one stepdaughter, Patricia A. Higgins; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Bridgers, Jr.
