I´m sorry to learn that Elmer has passed away. I haven´t talked to him in many years, but have always thought of him and the swing city big band of which I occasionally sat in with the Big Band.
As I write I am listening his voice on a recording possibly from the University of Delaware. My thoughts go out to the whole family. Elmer was an established leader of the band and had a good sense of humor. Was glad to have met him.
