CAMPBELLSBURG – Elmer Doyle Green, 71, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.

Born June 8, 1954, in Seminole, Oklahoma, he was the son of Elmer Newton and Florence Roberta (Reynolds) Green. He married Juanita Kay Fox on July 10, 1992 and she survives.

Doyle was a 1972 graduate of Orleans High School. He retired from Essex after 27 years and later retired from Aisin Manufacturing in Seymour. Doyle attended Lost River Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid western book reader, enjoyed hunting, and going to yard sales and auctions. Doyle loved sports including: golf, basketball, bowling, and softball. He was very kind and loved people.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita Kay Green of Campbellsburg; children, David Newton (Iris Johnson) Green of Paoli, Anthony Doyle Green of Campbellsburg, and Marsha Lynn Green (Anthony Lee) Smith of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Tyler Austin Green, Brayden Levi Haworth, Hailey Michelle Green, Amanda Nicole Green, Brittany Cheyenne Thomas, Zachary Dwain Thomas and Shelby Lynn Thomas; great-grandchildren, Sierra Abiana Harrison, Naomi Amara Thomas, Isaiah Jabari Harrison, Atlas Legacy Brown, Austin Levi Green, Kingsley Green, Ryder Green, and Braylen Green; siblings, Sharon Louise Green Pruett of Campbellsburg, Bonnie Green Daggy of Paoli, and Brenda Green Hypes of Campbellsburg; and several nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.

His parents; grandson, Jonathan Michael Green; brother, Ronald Newton Green; and in-laws, Joan Leslie Green, Clifford Laverne Pruett, William Daggy, and David Hypes, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Cook officiating. Burial will be at Saltillo Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
