Mr. Elmer W. Rich, Jr., 74, of Perryopolis, passed away on March 29, 2026 at the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born in Pittsburgh on October 17, 1951.
Elmer graduated from Uniontown High School, class of 1969.
He retired from Brentwood Beer Distributing in 2005.
Elmer enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling, NASCAR, and demolition derbies. He enjoyed collecting Zippo lighters, tractors, and old coins.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Sharon (Brocco) Rich of Perryopolis; five children, Sherrie Kelley of Perryopolis, Melinda Tringes and husband Mark of Belle Vernon, Diana Smith and husband Craig of Perryopolis, Elmer W. Rich, IV and wife Nevada of Perryopolis, Kelley Martin and husband James of Juniata; fourteen grandchildren, Dakota Haines, Candace Haines, Andrew Kelley, Adam Kelley, Mark Tringes, Marissa Tringes, Sean Rich, Zachary Eisler, Kaitlin Kavulich, Matthew Rich, Brittanie Critelli, Savannah Giroski, Raymond Hanabeck, and Thomas Hanabeck; twenty-nine great grandchildren with one on the way; dogs, Bruno and Lily.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Elmer W. Rich, III; two sisters, Sandra Glover and Margaret “Diane” Helfen; and a brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Brocco; and companion dog, Jack.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Stephen R. Haky Funeral Home, 603 N. Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, PA 15401.
