Eloise Thornton Farris

Eloise Thornton Farris, age 77 of Jasper, passed away on Thursday December 4, 2025.

Eloise was predeceased by her father, Harvey Thornton and her very special family members, Wallace and Christine Farris.

Eloise is survived by her daughters, Teri (Kelien) Lay of Jasper, Tami Farris of Jasper; a host of her loving Farris family and her precious friends and "second family" at Ridgeview Health Services.

Eloise had a loving, kind and Christian heart. It was so easy to love her and be her friend. She had many, however, she had several cherished friends that were a constant in her life. Cindy Hall was not only family, she was a lifelong friend with whom she shared her time, love and countless memories. Renee Casey, with Ridgeview Health Services, was a dear friend to her later in life and was a constant presence of love, support and laughter for her. Many people brought joy and love to her throughout the years that will always be remembered, however, these two shared a special bond with Eloise that will never be forgotten.

A private family service was held by Collins-Burke Funeral Home to honor the life of Eloise, officiated by Tobe Eads.

Although her presence may no longer grace our lives, her loving Christian spirit will continue to be with us and her memory will be a blessing to us daily.
