Eloyce Lena Kline

Eloyce Lena Kline, born on July 17, 1936, in Noble Township near Lyman, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. She spent her early years in the Lyman area, where she developed a strong work ethic by helping on the family farm. Eloyce's passion for baking was nurtured at home, where she learned from her mother and grandmother.

After graduating from Griswold High School in 1954, Eloyce embarked on a diverse career path. She worked as a telephone operator, managed restaurants, and was known as "The Pie Lady" for her exceptional baking skills. Her career took her from Iowa to Missouri, where she continued to share her culinary talents.

Eloyce was a devoted member of the St. John's Church and an enthusiastic golfer, achieving the title of Women's Club Champion at the Griswold Golf & Country Club for 11 years. She cherished her time playing Bridge and was a beloved member of her Bridge Club.

Eloyce was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Linda Tietz, her father in law Van Kline and mother in law Myrtle Kline, her husband Jerold "Jerry" Kline, her daughter Sheri Rush, her son Greg Kline, brother Dennis Tietz and his wife Eleanor Tietz, sister Delores Schrader and her husband Darrell Schrader, brother-in-law Duane Wilson, and brother-in-law Chuck Kline and wife Phyllis.

Eloyce is survived by her sons Kraig Kline of Camdenton, MO and Mitch Kline and wife Julie of Griswold, seven grandchildren: Alexis Kline of Des Moines, IA, Joelle Kirchhoff (Justin) of Gilbert, IA, Anna Hermann (Andy) of Elliott, IA, Jessy Kline of Griswold, IA, Macala Taulborg (Chris) of Box Elder, SD, Melanie Lima (Evan) of Omaha, NE, and Keith Rush (Kalli) of Griswold, IA, seven great grandchildren: Bronson and Rowan Kirchhoff, Kasen and Quinten Hermann, Brom, Isla, and William Taulborg, her brother Larry Tietz and wife Jean of Griswold, her sister in law Bev Olsen of Exira, and sister in law Connie Esbeck and husband Glenn of Exira, IA, and brother in law Gary Kline and wife Barb of Bismarck, ND. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive Eloyce.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the St. John's Church south of Lyman, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Private burial of her cremated remains will take place at a later date.
