Else Blangsted

We connected on the set of a Carl Reiner movie but she was one of the most special people I'd ever met. When I realized the New Yorker article I was reading in 1988 was about Else, I told everyone how much I admired and adored her. I just discovered a documentary was done and would love to see it and wonder if that would rule out a feature about her life.

My condolences.

Talented and amazing lady. Her personal life is a movie in it's self! Amazing life she led. As a woman she was so very wise and I will always cherish her advise and guidance during my life. She will be missed! She is in heaven teaching the angels how to do yoga!

Else Blangsted left a mark in this world that will be remembered for all to see. May God comfort the family at this time of grief.

Meeting and getting to know Else when she was the music editor on "Where's Poppa?" was monumental. Not only was she one of the few women working creatively at the time, but she was warm, smart and special. I felt lucky to have known her and then came across the article about her childbirth experience years later in "The New Yorker." I remember her deep voice, her way of connecting, everything, and would love to know her daughter. She was beyond special, unlike anyone else. Reading about her staying on the phone that night and getting to know her daughter, I felt I was re-living it.

My condolences to the Blangsted family for the loss of your dearly loved and talented Else. May the fond memories and happy times bring joy to your hearts and may the loving God of all comfort give you peace during this difficult time.

Its good that she was able to flee and make a new life here...May the memories carry you through this very difficult time. My condolences to the family. May God fulfill his promise of binding up the brokenhearted. (Isa 61:1.)
