Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Mae Bonds LaCaze will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mrs. LaCaze, 85, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 8, 2024.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, fishing, and working in her garden. Elsie had a giving soul and never let anyone go without; she was a mom to everyone in the neighborhood. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix LaCaze; one son, George Felix LaCaze; and her parents, Howard and Sadie Bonds.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include one son, Jerry LaCaze of Pineville; four daughters, Brenda Dupuy of Pineville, Geneva LaCaze of Pineville, Dorothy Mayes (Dan) of Liberty, Texas, and Glenda Crigler (Rodney) of Liberty Texas; three brothers, Howard "JR" Bonds of Forest Hill, Ashley Bonds (Bobbie) of Jarreau, and Charles W. Bonds of Natchitoches; two sisters, Betty Bass of Calcasieu, and Elizabeth Ann Derbonne of Kolin; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Dan Mayes, Stacy Bonds, Daniel Edwards, Josiah Gypin, Adam Holt, and Marty LaCaze. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Rachal, Brad Townsend, and Jeremy Dupuy.
