Elsie Ruzek

Elsie Ruzek, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, passed into eternal rest on August 15th, 2025, at the age of 99. She departed this world in peace, held in the eternal light of God.

Born on July 22nd,1926 in Blue Island Illinois, she was the daughter of Jan Bartos and Zuzana Plichtova. Throughout her life, Elsie was a woman of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and boundless love. She lived each day with grace, humility, and a heart anchored in God.

She is survived by her children: Barbara, Susan, Marilyn, and David, and her cherished grandchildren Eric, Jeff, Jennifer, Andy, Brett, Samantha, Alyssa, Amanda, Sarah, and Steven. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John and son John David, whom she now joins in the presence of the Lord.

Elsie lived her life as a reflection of Christ's love-patient, kind and steadfast. She found joy in the simple things in life. She found strength in the word of often turned to the Gospel of John for hope and truth. She prayed fervently, loved deeply, and trusted in God's plan.

Visitation Tuesday, August 19, 2025 9:00AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00AM at Modell Funeral Home, 7710 South Cass Avenue, Darien. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates.
