Elsie A. Vandeputte

Elsie Ann (Samyn) Vandeputte, a resident of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 95. She was born January 26, 1928, in Detroit, MI to the late Alphonse and Rachel (Vandevelde) Samyn. On June 4, 1947 in Detroit, she was united in marriage to Frank Vandeputte. Together they just celebrated their 76th Wedding Anniversary less than two weeks ago.
Mrs. Vandeputte was a homemaker. She was a prayerful person, a devoted Christian and member of St. Louis Catholic Church Community since 1954. Active with the church, she was a member of Our Ladies Circle and faithfully prepared the altar and cleaned the church. On a personal note, she enjoyed playing various card games and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Frank, children, Frank (Carol Fuller) Vandeputte, Ronald Vandeputte, Gary (Lisa) Vandeputte, Denise (Mark) Stephens and David (Betty) Vandeputte. She was the proud grandmother of Justin (Crystal), Jordan (Heather), Paula (Steve), Jeff (Marcie), Brian, Kevin, Steven, Rachel, and Evan (Kelsey). The family tree grows stronger with the addition of 6 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Michael, Gerald, Joseph and Gloria; daughter-in-law Noreen; sisters-in-law Mary Samyn and Ann Samyn.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Mt. Clemens. A memorial mass will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, 24415 Crocker Blvd., Clinton Twp., MI 48036 with Rev. Fr. Christopher Muer officiating. Friends and family are welcome to gather beginning at 10:00a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be addressed to St. Louis St. Vincent De Paul at St. Louis Catholic Parish 24415 Crocker Blvd. Clinton Township, MI 48036.
