Elsnaire J. Guidry Jr.

Elsnaire J. Guidry Jr., 83 years old, passed away on June 23, 2023. He was born in Golden Meadows, LA, and lived most of his life in the Westbank of New Orleans. He was living in Hammond, LA, at the time of his passing. He traveled the world and lived in many places while he served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and U.S. Airforce. He retired from the U.S. Airforce and Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. He leaves behind his granddaughter, Brittani N. Guidry, his grandson, Michael A. Guidry, his daughter-in-law, Paula G. Guidry, his second wife of almost 9 years, Brenda P. Guidry, his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dorella Guidry, along with a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda S. Guidry, his son, Joey G. Guidry, and his father and mother, Elsner and Amay Guidry. Elsnaire was an active member of both the Masons and the Shriners. He was a Past Master of Marrero Masonic Lodge # 479, A 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason of The Valley of New Orleans, LA. The Past Potentate of The Jerusalem Shrine. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Jefferson's Lodge #12. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, La. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 11 am. Visitation will begin at 9 am.
