We were so very sorry to hear of Dr Adams passing. We referred many of our patients to him from Lewistown and he always treated with great compassion and skill. He responded to our cries for help quickly, with great advice, kindness and encouragement. Years ago, as a young physician with shaken confidence, he told me "Don't worry, you can do this!" We and our patients will miss him terribly.

I spent many days in the outdoors with Elton. All of them bring back fond memories. Elton always encouraged friends and acquaintances to hike, camp, climb and explore the outdoors in the Great State of Montana and around the world.
As I think back now on all the adventures with Elton, I wonder how many of those wonderful experiences I would have had without his invitation. I am so thankful for knowing Elton as a friend and colleague. He truly inspired me to a lifetime of love for the outdoors. He was a true leader.
He will be missed in the office and hospital but so much more in the back country of Montana.

Marie,
I am so sad to hear about the passing of Elton. I have so enjoyed our friendship over the last 20 years and will cherish the memories I have going to dinner with the two of you. I loved hearing the stories of your family, your travels and the amazing adventures. I always imagined how I wanted to be just as energetic and adventurous as Elton when I reached his age. My prayers are with you until you are reunited with him!

I spent so many wonderful days in the outdoors with Elton. He inspired me and so many others to camp, climb, hike, ski and explore the mountains of Montana and the world.
I think back fondly of all the wonderful times I had with Elton and how many of those adventures I would have never taken without Elton's encouragement. He was a true leader.
I will miss working in the hospital and clinic with Elton but so much more in the back country.

David and I are of course shocked to learn of Elton's death. He was a wonderful doctors as we all know. David respected him greatly and talked about how smart he was. He loved the fact that they both began life in Winnet, Mt! They enjoyed a wonderful professional relationship over the years. I remember the first time I met you and Elton in Missoula when my sister was house hunting and yours was one of the ones she looked at. It was so amazing to learn that you were moving to GF where David and I would be residing and we could continue our relationship there. Please know that we hold you in our prayers at this difficult time and pray that the God of all comfort will sustain you as you press forward through your grief, which we share with you.

So sad to learn of Dr. Adams passing away. I have been a patient of his for 27 years and I must say he always seemed happy and had a smile on his face. Great Falls has lost an excellent doctor and all of his patients have lost a great friend. It was always a pleasure to have an appt. with Dr. Adams after he had just returned from an "adventure". He was so enthusiastic about his travels and would show pictures of his trips and go into great detail about where he had been and what he had experienced.

Dr Adams was my doctor and I honestly don't know what I will do without him, that is how much I relied on his great care and knowledge. I know there are many out there who feel the same way. He lived life to the fullest and with grace and gratitude for all he had and showed it by all he offered.
It is obvious what an impact he had on this community by what I have read and conversations I have had with complete strangers .
He will never be replaced, he was one of kind.
I pray God comforts and brings peace to his family and to those who he loved and loved him.
Rest in peace high upon that mountain Dr Adams.

Over the past 35 years Elton and I have shared Boy Scout trips, laughter, some sorrows, always memorable Elton adventures, and most importantly, patients. He has been a consistent and stable resource and colleague, and one of the most academic physicians I know. His patients were his priority but outdoor adventure was his passion. Now he is soaring with the eagles. I take comfort in that. Nevertheless, I shall miss him. A lot.

Elton was the first physician to refer a patient to me when I started my surgical practice in 1995 in Great Falls. Throughout the next 20 years, he was always the voice of wisdom and common sense. He will be missed dearly.

I'm so sorry he was not only my Docter for over forty years but also a friend as he made his patients feel. I started seeing him while he was in mazoola and continued until I had to move to Washington state.
In my eighty years he was the best I've had.
My heart is with his family
