Elton Blaine Strickland, 47, of Lee County, died Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
His funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Covenant Presbyterian Church with interment to follow in the Pelham City Cemetery. Dr. Biff Coker will officiate.
Born in Albany, Blaine spent all of his life in Albany area. He was a former insurance agent with Woodmen of the World and most recently had started working with ACE Hardware and a hunting guide.
He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Moose Lodge and loved to cook, watch football, dance and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin W. Strickland, Jr. and his sister-in-law, Cathy Gore Strickland.
Survivors include his daughter, Brinslee Grace Strickland, sons, Blaine Chandler Strickland, Chase Greene, mother, Gail Sharp Korpal (Tom), sisters, Gina Strickland Price (Jody), Heather Allen (Randy), Dawn Korpal, brother, Benjamin W. Strickland, III, grandchildren, Nova Grace Angry, Baelyn Mae Strickland, Noah Shiver, Dallas Greene, Reese Hill, his girlfriend, Victoria Barnes and her children, Remi Barnes, Gunner Barnes, Jordan Cannon and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Mathews Funeral Home.
