Elvin Ray Beasley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on Wednesday, March 21st, 1951, in Blakely, Georgia, Elvin was a cherished resident of Newton, GA, where he spent the majority of his life.

Elvin was a dedicated farmer, working tirelessly as a self-employed individual to provide for his family and contribute to his community. His commitment to hard work and his love for the land were evident in everything he did. Elvin also served his country with honor as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, a testament to his courage and dedication.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Evelyn George Beasley, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. Together, they raised three wonderful children, Christopher Beasley (Mary) and Amber Suggs (J.W.), who will continue to honor his legacy. Elvin was a proud grandfather to Kristina Beasley, Emilee Childers, Bradley Lafarr, Raymond Lafarr, Jonathan Suggs, Vickie Suggs, and Megan Flander, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Elvin is also survived by his brother, Wade Beasley (Pat), who shared many cherished memories with him over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Jonathan Beasley and Jennie Mae Beasley, his son, Elvin Raymond Beasley, and his siblings, Patsy Beasley, Wanda Beasley, Daniel Beasley, Calvin Beasley, Alvin Beasley, Burt Beasley, and Presley Beasley.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home on Thursday, May 8th, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Elvin's life will be held at the Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 11:00 am. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ron Black, Sr. and Pastor Ron Black, Jr. Pallbearers will include Garth Sanders, Jimmy Reynolds, Delbert George, Luther Beasley, Jeff Heard, and Wayne Black.

Elvin Ray Beasley will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his service to his country. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
