Elvin Haynes Obituary

EVANS, GA - Entered into rest on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Mr. Elvin E. Haynes Jr., husband of 52 years to the late Shelia N. Haynes.

Elvin was born in Rhine, GA and grew up in Macon, GA. He retired as manager with the Federal Aviation Administration at Macon Airport. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Koinonia Sunday School Class.

Family members include his daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Robert Gilchrist of Marietta, Denice and John Tudor of Augusta; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Rhonda Haynes of Leesburg, GA; grandchildren, Anna Smith (Jonathon), Sarah Haynes, Kristin Haynes Harrell, Ashley Gilchrist, Beth Gilchrist, David Tudor, Kyle Tudor (Brittni), Cameron Tudor (Alli); 10 great-grandchildren and his dear friend Bonnie Lucky.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors. A private burial (family only) will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
