Elvin J. Miller, 79, of Homosassa, FL passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, at HCA Citrus Hospital in Inverness, FL. He was born in Richmond, Indiana on March 2, 1946, to the late Tyler and Martha (Brown) Miller. Elvin was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He had worked at Huffy Corporation in Richmond for 12 years, NATCO Corporation in Richmond for 3 years and was a machine repairman for Ford Motor Company for 27 years in Connersville. He was a Volunteer for Hospice Thrift & Gift in Homosassa and has lived in Homosassa, Florida since 2007. Elvin was a member & Elder at the First Christian Church in Homosassa Springs, Florida, enjoyed computer games, worked for Crime Watch
Preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Lynn Miller, and sister Rosalie Miller.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jennifer Sue (Bird) Miller; children: Nathan K. & Beth Miller of New Paris, OH, Danielle Renee & David Rudicil of Richmond, IN; brothers: Gay Wallace, Avon Miller, Johnny Miller, and Henry Miller; sisters: Joyce Elaine (Daryl) Napier, Ida Marie (Charles) Shaffer, and Aline Cathrine (Gerold) Dees; 5 grandchildren: Hunter Miller (Harley West), Madison Miller, Evan Miller (Ashley Gardner), Hannah Rudicil, Emma Rudicil. 4 great grandchildren: Maybelle Miller, Braiden Jr, River Board, Evelyn Miller.
Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday September 9, 2025, at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street New Paris, Ohio. Graveside service will be 12:00 P.M. at Spring Lawn Cemetery – New Paris, Ohio with Preacher Paul Nickols officiating and military honors provided by the U.S. Army and Preble County Honor Guard.
