Dear Kerry and all of Elvira's wonderful family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I only got to know Elvira through conversations about her car accident in January, but because she was so lovely, so lively, and not one to feel sorry for herself, I loved to speak with her. My manager asked me why I talked to her so long on the telephone and I told her it was because it was such a pleasure to do so. We become invested in our clients and care for them sometimes more than we know. This is one of those times. I am crying as I write this because the world has lost someone with such a huge spark of life and the ability to make others care about her even if it is just a few phone calls in a very short span of time. I am so very sad for all of her family, friends and anyone else whose life she touched.

Kerry, Matt and Ryan,
Our hearts go out to you as you struggle with the loss of Elvira.
From the day we moved in, Elvira made us feel welcome in the neighbourhood on the veranda with a smile or wave, and always up for a visit. She checked in regularly to see how we were doing and (along with Kerry) watched over our home when we were away she was such a kind woman with a generous spirit, and always there to help with anything we needed. You can choose your house, but you cant choose your neighbours clearly we got lucky!
We particularly admired Elviras no-nonsense straight talk and her sense of humour. We had such awesome chats on/at your veranda and shared much laughter. It was always evident how much she loved you in the stories shed share and in the way she cared for you and her granddaughters.
You and Elvira are in our thoughts, and we hope you will find loads of comfort in the many memories you made with her over the years.

The feeling of loss was immediate when we heard about Elvira's passing. Elvira was extremely kind to me and I will never forget that about her. She always made time to chat when our paths crossed and she even remembered all our kids as well even though they have all grown. Our condolences to all of the family. Dear Kerry, Matt and Ryan,
So sorry for your loss! Deepest condolences from the Knezevics and Cejvans. Your mom was one of a kind! Something ill never forget about Elvira was her laugh. It was as memorable as she was. I struggle trying to remember a time she wasnt in a good mood or couldnt easily be put in one by a joke from Matt or Ryan. She was always so light-hearted and kind to everyone around her. She will truly be missed by many. Rest In Peace Elvira.

Kerry, Matt, Ryan and all who loved Elvira,
Our thoughts and love are with you during this extremely difficult time. Elvira was one of a kind- her life, energy, positivity and great love for those around her made her truly special. Her bond with her children and grandchildren was something we all admired. She was always there to make sure everyone in the room was having fun, was well fed and had drink in hand. We will always remember her as the life of the party and that's why we thought this picture truly captures her spirit and her love for fun and being together. She will be forever missed, Gavin, Jenna, Kayla and Mason

Dear Kerry, Matt and Ryan,
We were so shocked and saddened to hear about Elvira. She was such a devoted wife, mom and grandma. Throughout the years of school and hockey, Elvira was such a kind and happy woman, and our whole family will always remember the many fun times spent at school functions and hockey tournaments ... and the boys skating together on frozen ponds. We will never forget Elvira's infectious laugh and how fiercely she loved and cared for her family. We'll be thinking about you through this difficult time. Love, Jim and Darlene Roberts

It is with heavy hearts that we send our sincere condolences to Kerry, Matt, Ryan and families. We remember Elvira back as far as 20 years ago when she helped our family by meeting our son each day after school. She was always fun, caring and very devoted to his needs. Elvira was a helpful neighbor to both the young and the old. When she'd see a need, she would do something to pitch in and help. I already miss her smile and a wave from the garden or on the front porch. Our thoughts are with you all at this time.

My deepest condolences to the Brown family. Elvira was so sweet and kind to everybody. Whenever I went to Ryans house I would always be greeted with a hug and a smile followed by her infectious laugh. Even if we were in the basement she would make it a point to come down to say Hi and ask what she could make me to eat. That was the type of person she was always caring for others. She will be greatly missed but her bright personality and spirit will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Elvira. Lots of Love from the Sweitzer Family
