Elwood Perrin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Niles on Dec. 5, 2025.
"Woody" Elwood Perrin, a cherished pillar of the Cassopolis / Edwardsburg community, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 10, 1939, in Vandalia, Michigan, Woody was the son of the late Lester and Cleo (Hodges) Perrin, growing up in a bustling household that laid the foundation for his love of family.
Woody was a proud graduate of the Cassopolis Public School, class of 1975. Woody spent many years serving Cassopolis Public Schools in various capacities. His dedication to work was surpassed only by his devotion to building and nurturing community relationships.
Throughout his life, Woody was happiest when surrounded by his family, whether it was playing a spirited game of Euchre, sharing stories at a family gathering, or fishing. Woody had enthusiasm for yard sales and his uncanny ability to find treasures among the ordinary.
An avid bowler, Woody spent many enjoyable evenings at the lanes, sharing laughter and camaraderie. His skilled hands were always busy, whether crafting, fixing, or building; his projects were not only a hobby but also a testament to his belief in the value of creating something lasting and tangible.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bev Perrin. Woody's legacy is carried on by his beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with his extended family members, who all felt the warmth of his love and the strength of his character. They, along with the community whose lives he touched, will miss his presence, his wit, and his unwavering integrity.
There will be no services held at this time.
As we bid farewell to "Woody" Elwood Perrin, we remember a man of exceptional warmth and generosity, whose impact on those around him was as profound as it was gentle. His was a life well-lived and well-loved, and he leaves behind a trail of memories that will be cherished and retold for generations to come.
