Elwood Zoll Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Perinchief Chapels - Mount Holly from Jul. 17 to Jul. 18, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce that Elwood E. Zoll, Jr. of Pemberton formerly of Browns Mills and Riverside passed away on July 16, 2025, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. He was 63 Born in Riverside to the late Elwood Zoll Sr and Elsie Mingle, Elwood held many odd jobs before becoming employed by the Burlington County Department of Public Works Bridge Department where he retired after over 32 years of service. Elwood enjoyed fishing, hunting, crabbing, going to the shore, the casino and bingo. Elwood loved having a good time whether hanging out at the local pub, throwing horseshoes, or at a friends place (especially the shack), he was known to be the life of the party. Elwood had a passion for watching sports everything from Nascar to wrestling and of course watching football. He loved his Raiders. While the stroke he suffered last year took a toll on him, we will forever remember him saying YO dad and Raiders going to the Superbowl! Elwood is survived by his wife Tonia Davis, brother-in-law Jeff Davis (Susan Steever) and many close friends who were like family to him. A celebration of life will be held on August 16, 2025 at 2pm at the Jaci Shack/Todd Farm.

I met Elwood in 1979 here on vacation from Kentucky. I met him in Lumberton a year before I moved to New Jersey and never got to see him again. He was a good guy first person I met here

Working with Elwood, for 26 years, was such a pleasure. His smile would light up the room and his teddy-bear hugs were always welcomed.

RIP my friend. Say hello to Bill!
