Elyce Duerr Obituary
Elyce was a member of the Life Pointe Church in Mount Vernon, OH. She was an accomplished seamstress and was a member of many quilt guilds including Quilts of Valor. Elyce taught sewing at the Knox County Public Library. She was an educational author, retired school teacher and an adjunct Professor at UCF. Elyce was an avid learner. She loved the United State of America. To Elyce, strangers were just friends she hadn't met yet.
Elyce is survived by her children Dale (Carol) McKissick of Greenfield, WI, Ginny McKissick of Utica, OH, Beverly (John) Williams of Gambier, OH; grandchildren Jay Wyrick, Gary (Blanca) McKissick, Brian McKissick, Krystal Hoppes, Kevin McKissick and Derek Williams; great-grandchildren Penny, April and Donnie; siblings Patricia Cox of Georgia, Rick Duerr of Georgia and Mike Duerr of Tennessee.
Elyce was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Bob Duerr, Ed Duerr, Joseph Duerr, Mary Ellen Ducharme, Ray Duerr and David Duerr and a granddaughter Courtney Elyse.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
