Emerita's journey began as the cherished daughter of the late Julia Laínez and Rogelio Muñiz. Her early years in Honduras were filled with the warmth of family and the vibrant culture that would shape her into the remarkable woman she became. Emerita's legacy continued to grow when she met and married the love of her life, Walter R. Rogge, Sr. Their union was a beautiful example of enduring love, lasting an impressive 66 years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active and devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Metairie Church.
