Emery W. Patterson

Emery Patterson, 88, of New Britain, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Basile) Patterson. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, he was the son of the late Gordon and Winnifred (Crocker) Patterson. He was a long time New Britain resident and was formerly employed at Landers, Frary & Clarke, Tuttle & Bailey, and Acme Monaco before retiring. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Emery was an active member of the First Church of Christ, in New Britain. He was active in Boy Scouting with troop 96 and pack 96, and enjoyed photography and stamp collecting. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Stephanie Patterson of Southington; and a grandson, Tyler W. Patterson. Private graveside services, with military honors, will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Conn. Rivers Council, PO Box 280098, E.
