Emily Renee "Missy" Corbett

Emily Renee Corbett, affectionately known as Missy, was born on December 13, 1981, in Pahokee, Florida, to the late Robert and Nellie Corbett.

Missy was a proud graduate of Clewiston High School. Over the years, she worked various jobs before finding her true love and passion with the Hendry County School Board, where she faithfully served until her health no longer allowed her to continue. Missy also cherished the opportunity to give back to her community by serving on the Brown Sugar Committee. In her leisure time, she devoted herself to spending time with family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and joy. Missy will be deeply missed by all who knew her for her great sense of humor, her love for music, and her enjoyment of a good time.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Corbett, and her brother-in-law, Delvin Hughes.

Those left to cherish her loving memories include: her sister, Shuntee Hughes; her brother, Robert (Joyce) Corbett Jr.; aunts: Sallie Halman, Geraldine Parnell, and Linda Suggs; uncles: Elder Emmett (Vivan) Parnell and John Batton; nieces: Nelkeya Wood and Makayla Rhodes; nephews:Robert and Royce Corbett and Dylen Hughes; godmothers: Dr. Wilehelmenia Jacobs, Dorothy Oliver, and Rev. Gwendolyn Patrick-Griffiths; god-siblings: Claude, Christopher, Ebony, Nicole, Betty, Shanetta, Ricka, and Terelle; extended family: the Mixons/Rushings, the Bighams, and Beatrice Smith and her children; and a host of cousins and sorrowing friends.
