Mrs. Emily Jean Davis Hunt, 70, of Hartwell Hwy. Elberton, GA passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at her home.
Mrs. Hunt was born March 15, 1953 in Elberton, GA to Joseph Robert Davis and Emily Irene Evans Davis. She had previously worked for the Elbert County Detention Center for 9 years.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Lisa Mayhue and Willie Mayhue, sons and daughter-in-law: Danny A. “Pete” Hunt, Jr. and Cathy Hunt and Tony Hunt; grandchildren: Zachary Fleeman, Tabitha and Cody Johnson, Kaitlyn Hunt, Caitlyn Hunt, Cassie Turner, Chloe Hunt, Alyssa Hunt and Joshua Gordon and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Danny Augusta “Dan” Hunt, Sr. and a sister Brenda Hill.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Wednesday, February 28 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Fife officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery with Cody Johnson, Daryl Osbourne, Kelsey Osbourne, Robert Crowe, Dale Smith and Jonathan Rousey serving as pallbearers.
The family will be at the home on Hartwell Highway and will receive friends from 6PM to 8PM Tuesday night at Berry Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in her memory to T.J. and Friends Foundation, PO Box 6161 Elberton, GA 30635 or to Granite Center Shrine Club.
