Emily Oblak Obituary
Emily Jean Oblak, 63, of Ruffsdale passed away Thursday August 15, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Oblak was born August 1, 1961 in Mt. Pleasant to the late Clair A. Thompson and Emily Sokol.
Emily enjoyed shopping, her dogs, playing on the computer and browsing Facebook. She was an excellent cook and baker who loved to share with all of her family. Emily was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Emily is survived by her loving family, her husband Joel Oblak; her daughters, Jeannie Oblak, and Nicole King (Amos); and her granddaughter, Chloe King. She is also survived by her siblings, Clair A. Thompson Jr. (Denise), Michael J. Thompson (Christine),Greggory F. Thompson (Sherry), Joyce A. Thompson, and Theresa J. Hempfield (Vaughn); her step-mother, Judith D. Thompson; her special nieces, Whitney Sullins (Juwan), and Hannah Hempfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her sister, Judith L. Thompson.
