Emily Almond Reed, age 89, of Royston, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, born on August 6, 1936, in the Rice Creek Community of Franklin County, she was the beloved daughter of the late O.B. and Nancy Ann Moon Almond.

Emily had a deep appreciation for nature, cherishing the beauty of flowers and the world around her. She was a devoted supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, a passion she shared with her late husband. Above all, she treasured her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Reed; her sister & brother-in-law: Vivian Almond & Gerald Martin.

Emily is survived by her loving family, including her son and daughter-in-law: Steve and Donna Reed of Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law: Stephanie and Bill Dungan of Powder Springs, grandchildren: Matthew & Natasha Reed, Caroline Payne, Reed Dungan & Holland Stooksbury; great-grandchildren: Hannah Payne, Eli Payne, Korbin Reed, Tru Dungan, and Banks Dungan; and brother and sister-in-law: Robert Mac & Melinda Almond.

In accordance with Emily's wishes, she was cremated. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
