Emily Skinner Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 19, 2025.
Emily K. Skinner, 59, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. She was born on June 30, 1966, in Weston, Massachusetts. She grew up with siblings Amy Jenner and Chad Skinner in Concord, MA.

Emily was endlessly kind to all beings, friends and strangers. She was a social butterfly and wonderfully funny, always quick with playful ideas and surprising turns of phrase. Her inventive, outside-the-box thinking inspired not only her work as a small business owner but also her joyful creativity in the kitchen. And truly, she was a phenomenal chef.

Emily was known for finding joy in natural beauty and treasuring the small things in life-a lover and caretaker of wild animals and all things green. Her apartment in Gardner, MA, where she raised her daughter Camryn, was full of art, laughter, potted plants, and the occasional rescued animal.

Emily spent her later years in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where she resided in a seaside cottage. She loved baking and long drives up the coast with friends. One of Emily's greatest joys was fishing with her father, Lewis, on the ocean-we like to think they're out there now, passing time on the waves.

Emily is survived by her daughter, Camryn Skinner; her sister, Amy Jenner, and family; her brother, Chad Skinner, and family; and her stepmother, Cynthia Skinner.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Skinner and Nancy Cruise, and her long-term partner, Richard Ready.
