Emily A. Starkie, 84

Emily A. Starkie (Belcastro), age 84, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, just days after celebrating her 84th birthday with her loving family.

Born and raised in Weymouth, Emily was educated in the local schools and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1959. She later married her beloved husband, Alden Starkie, and together they made their home in Weymouth, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories while raising their family.

Emily had a deep love for her family and found great joy in time spent with them. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved cat, Patches, who brought her much comfort and companionship.

She was a devoted member of the Church of the Holy Nativity in South Weymouth and was active in the church’s TOPS group.

Emily was predeceased by her husband Alden R. Starkie. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Snyder and her husband Dan of Kingston, Bonnie Cifelli of New Hampshire, and Kerry Lynch of Quincy. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Shawn, Brittany, Seamus, and Cameron, as well as her great-granddaughter, Luna.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Emily from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on April 3, 2026, at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq) Weymouth, MA.
