Dear Dr. Kitchen,
My deep regrets to recently hear about Jay's passing. I hope you are still receiving these messages. I knew Jay from our days at Va. Tech. His obituary just appeared in the Cadet Corps magazine. Jay was my friend in the Corps and the German Club. It should be no surprise to you and your family that he stood out amongst all his peers in the '60s. While a lost track of him after graduation he made a lasting impression on me in the short 4 years we knew each other. May God bless you and your family.
Best Regards,
Rick Knapp

Truly one of my heroes. Through challenging times he had humor. He was therapy for me as much as I him. Thank you Jay and Kim.

Dear Kim,
Randy & I are heartbroken. Jay was, in every way, such a blessing to us all. We will miss him dearly. And just for him....from his Irish cousin:
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in
the hollow of His hand.
RIP Jay

Dearest Kim,
We will miss your wonderful Jay, we grew to love him so much, you were the most loving wife and Oh how he love and admire you as we do too. Deepest sympathy but we know he is in a better place and an angel watching over all of us.

Dear Kim, Please accept my sympathy over the loss of Jay. As the obituary says, he did "battle" Parkinson's disease. I was always impressed with his optimism and perseverance as the disease advanced. It was my privilege to care for Jay and I will miss seeing him. RIP.

NABER was my first job out of the Army in 1990, and I must say, Jay made it a fun place to work. I did not know him for long but I knew he was a good guy and a great boss.
