Services will be held at 5PM, Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at Proctor's Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX.
Born to Robert Petry and Mabel Hunley Petry. Emmette was raised as a Christian. He worked as a Rice Farmer for over 50 years. He was a stern and mild-mannered man. He had great love for his children and his family.
Preceded in death parents: Robert and Mabel Petry, brothers-Gravel, Gra Robert Jr, Erastus, Ross, Roosevelt, sisters Nona Mae and Mary Lou Survivors include Daughters, Gay Fontenot (Hubert) and Paula Dodis. Son, Emmett Petry Jr. (Christy). A special niece Carolyn Sebile. Grandchildren: Jason and Jalea Fontenot, Justice Dodis, Bethany and Emmett the 3rd Petry. Great grandchild, Kai Jefferson and a host of nieces and nephews.
