Emory Alexander Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 30, 2026.
Emory Guy Alexander, known as "Guy," passed away on March 28, 2026, at the age of 60, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin, Georgia.

Guy is survived by his wife, Becky Alexander; his father and stepmother, Emory and Linda Alexander; his daughters, Elizabeth Joyce Alexander and Anna Alexander, daughter of Natalie Deacon; his cherished granddaughter, Mia Morman; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Alexander; his grandparents; his cousins, Phil Gaddy and Ken Helton; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and other family members.

On fall Saturdays, you could find him cheering on his Alabama Crimson Tide with the kind of loyalty that never wavered - Roll Tide wasn't just something Guy said, it was something he lived. He had an equal love for the roar of NASCAR engines, and race days were something he looked forward to with genuine joy.

Guy will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Guy's life on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4 - 6 PM at McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Guy's memory to Coweta F.O.R.C.E., a local nonprofit dedicated to providing recovery support services for individuals and families impacted by addiction. They envision a community where everyone has the opportunity to experience freedom from addiction, and their work makes a real difference right here in the Newnan community. Donations can be made at www.cowetaforce.org.

Online condolences can be shared by visiting www.mckoon.com.
