It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Enedina Iniguez. She passed peacefully at her home, surrounded by all her loved ones, on December 21, 2025. Enedina was born on February 21, 1946, to Maurilia Gutierrez and Rafael Sandoval in Yahaulica, Jalisco, Mexico. She grew up in El Zapote, Jalisco, where she met the love of her life, Celerino Iniguez. They married in 1960 in Jalisco, Mexico. Enedina and Celerino had 7 children: Aida, Oliver, Ernesto, Inosencia, Celerino, Beatriz & Melissa. They were married for 37 years when her husband tragically passed away in 1997. Enedina remained a widow until her passing.
Enedina was the matriarch of her family. She had 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many others that she considered her own. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings with many holidays being held in her home, which she had lived in for 45 years. Her door was always open to anyone who needed it. She loved having a home filled with laughter and company. She spent her time always thinking of others and serving those in need. She cared for her family deeply. She was a woman of God and a parishioner of St. John Paul II Roman Catholic Parish. She left a legacy of a mother’s unconditional love. She will be greatly missed and leaves a void in all of our family’s hearts.
She is survived by her children, Aida (Benjamin) Martinez, Olivier (Arnold) Cantu, Ernesto Iniguez, Inosencia Orellana, Celerino (Leticia) Iniguez, Beatriz (Manuel) Marroquin, Melissa (Jorge) Rodriguez, her 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
