Enrique Garza Amaya entered into the presence of Our Lord on September 23, 2025. He was 94 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on November 19, 1930.

Enrique served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. In 1954, he married Evangelina Terrazas, who preceded him in death in 2004. He was a truck driver for most of his life, working for companies like Railway Express, Handy Andy, Kroger, Basse Truck Line and Hensley Incorporated. He enjoyed outdoor cookouts and drinking Lone Star beer, while listening to music by Los Panchos and Pedro Infante. He also had a great singing voice and liked to play the guitar. He was a wonderful provider for his family and took care of his loved ones when they needed it. He will be greatly missed.

Enrique is also preceded in death by his parents Luz and Rosa Amaya, all his siblings (Maria Lara, Serafin Amaya, Maria Teresa Herrera and Eriberto Amaya) and daughter, Evangelina Ingram.

Enrique is loved and will be missed by his daughter, Edith Amaya Rico and Son in Law, David Rico; grandchildren David Ingram (Mona), Sarah Barnett (Derek), Valarie Rico, David "DJ" Rico, and Joel Rico; great-grandchildren, Lyric Ingram, Magdalena "Maddie" Ingram and Evangelina "Evee" Barnett; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
