Enrique Lara Davila, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on January 15, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born on July 28, 1933, in San Blas Loreto Zacatecas, Mexico, to Antonio Lara and Belen Davila.
Enrique lived an extraordinary life characterized by hard work, love and dedication to his family. As an immigrant worker, he migrated to the United States and settled in Albuquerque where he raised his children. He worked for the City of Albuquerque for approximately 25 years before retiring. His commitment to his job was evident in the impact he made within the community.
In addition to being a diligent worker, Enrique found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren. Retirement allowed him the opportunity to indulge in this cherished role as he shared his wisdom and experiences with the younger generation. He believed that the bonds between family members were precious and always made sure to teach them important values.
One of his favorite pastimes was tending to his yard and fixing anything that needed repair. Enrique's hands were skilled and capable of turning anything broken into something functional once again. His determination was admirable and a testament to his resourcefulness.
Enrique's love for his wife Maria was unwavering throughout their many years together. Their marriage served as an example of commitment and loyalty to all who knew them. Together they created a warm and loving home that nurtured their children and built lasting memories.
Enrique leaves behind a legacy of love through his surviving family members who will forever carry his spirit with them. He is survived by his son Jose Lara and wife Danette, daughter Millisa Cuellar and husband Abel, daughter Leslie Barraza and husband Tamir, daughter Tania Barraza and husband Uriel. Enrique is also survived by his grandchildren - Manuel Lara, Paul Lara, Antonio Lara, Augustine, Estevan, Briza, Analiz, Jaylin, Aitana, Amir, Emily, and Evelyn. Additionally, his great grandchildren- Ariana, Natalie, Elijah, Elani, Dean and Ava,
Enrique's passing has created a void in the hearts of those who loved him. His love and guidance will be greatly missed but his memory will forever live on in the lives of his family and friends. He will always be remembered as the best dad and grandpa ever.
May Enrique Lara Davila rest in eternal peace and may his family find solace in the cherished memories they shared with him.
