Ercument Ozizmir

Dr Ozizmir was brilliant professor and a friend to all the engineering students that I knew. So sad to hear of his passing.

I worked for Ercument while he was the chair of the department and for the years following until his retirement. He was a brilliant, decent and kind soul. God bless you and keep you. My condolences to the family.

I met Martha when we were in yoga class at Staten Island College.The instructor was French and named Michelle.After retiring from from Brooklyn Poly, I taught in the math department at Staten Island College and met Ercment.We were often lunch partners. Martha and Ercument visited our home in Staten Island and made us Turkish coffee.. Ercument was always very helpful in my transition from Brooklyn Poly to CSI. After his retirement, I would visit Ercument and Martha in their home in Greenwich. He was soft spoken and kind. They always treated me with great hospitality.
