Eric Edward Bacon passed away unexpectedly in his St. Charles home, along with his dogs Chance and Blue, on Sunday evening, July 6, 2025. Eric is survived by mother Sharon Leah Bacon, Father Terry Ray Bacon, Brother Aaron Ray Bacon (Kristina), nephew William Bacon, son Kevin Anthony Bacon, and daughter Alison Leah Bacon.
An avid beekeeper and tech fanatic, Eric enjoyed spending time with his family, discovering new music, flying private airplanes, being on and in the water, scuba diving, and getting into new technology. Known for his love for his dogs, he was kind, tenacious, curious, a hard worker, charming, good-looking, silly, and witty. Eric loved dogs, his two children, blasting his favorite music in the car, a quality glass of Kentucky Bourbon, good food, an Ice Cold Schlafly off the tap, and singing loudly in public to embarrass his children. His favorite quote was “Bacon makes everything better,” said Everyone.
Eric was born September 7, 1976 in Mexico, Missouri to mother Sharon Leah Bacon, and father, Terry Ray Bacon. Eric loved his parents and saw them nearly every day, helping with anything they needed. His parents remember him for his kindness, good looks, and his work ethic. Eric grew up with brother Aaron, who remembers his insatiable curiosity, his self confidence and fearlessness in risk taking.
Eric grew up in the St. Charles area, attending Castlio Elementary, Francis Howell Middle School, and Francis Howell High School. His first job was at the Sonic on Harvester Rd., where he was promoted to management. Eric enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1996 through 2000. While stationed in Jacksonville, North Carolina, he was deployed to Africa and South America. He enlisted as a Senior Airman in the National Guard of Missouri as a reserve of the United States Air Force. Eric returned to St. Charles to be close to family and attended Lindenwood University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology in 2004, and later earned his Masters of Business Administration at Webster University in 2008.
September 2, 1996, Eric’s son, Kevin Anthony Bacon, was born in Wyandotte, Michigan. Kevin remembers his dad for his love for his dogs, the joy he got out of flying a Cenza airplane, and scuba diving. There was always an adventure whether it was knowledge or physical. A true explorer of the world.
Fifteen months later, Eric’s Daughter, Alison Leah Bacon, was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on December 1, 1997. Alison remembers her dad for his love of music, his silly and unapologetic attitude, and his love for nature. Eric enjoyed spending time with Alison trying new restaurants, listening to live bands, and eating Pappy’s Barbeque together.
Eric was employed by Silver Star Protection Group as the Regional Manager for the Eastern District of Missouri.
