It is with deep love and great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Bretschneider on November 24th, 2025. A husband, a son, a brother, and a friend, he was known for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and the unmistakable and steadfast kindness he showed everyone in his life.
Eric loved playing board games with his friends and family and always approached his interests with curiosity, intelligence, and a touch of gentle mischief.
He was hardworking, loyal, and deeply devoted to the people he loved. His kindness was felt not through grand displays but through his constant support, steady presence, and the light he brought into the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife (Madeleine Bray), parents (Harriet and Fred Bretschneider), and sister (Elaine Bretschneider), his aunt and uncle (Heidi and Mark Payne), his cousin (Amanda Payne), and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. He will be profoundly missed.
