Eric T. Clark, 58, of Lincoln, passed away July 28, 2022, at The Monarch Hospice House following an 11-month battle with Glioblastoma. Born August 2, 1963, in Norfolk, Nebraska, to Tom and Marion (Merrell) Clark. Eric grew up on a farm outside of St. Edward, Nebraska and graduated from St. Edward High School with the class of 1981. He received his degree in Agronomy from UNL in 1986. Eric married Carol J. Chmelka on July 23, 1983, in Valparaiso, Nebraska. As a private investigator, he owned and operated Clark Investigative Services and built and managed rental properties. Eric was a member of North American Martyrs Catholic Church in Lincoln. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Eric liked traveling and loved his country.
Eric was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James Chmelka.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Clark; children, Amanda (Parker) Dolen and John Clark; grandchildren, Henry, Nora, and Peter; parents, Tom and Marion Clark; siblings, Tod (Teresa) Clark and Christine Wright; mother-in-law, Marilyn Chmelka; along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Memorials may be directed to North American Martyrs Catholic Church or The Monarch Hospice House.
Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm, with the Rosary beginning at 8 pm, Monday, August 1, 2022, and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, all at North American Martyrs Catholic Church, 1101 Isaac Dr. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
